Privacy Statement

When you book a place on one of our training courses or events we will keep your details so we can process your booking.

We will hold any or all the following information you provide:

• Name
• Employer (where relevant)
• Job Title (where relevant)
• Email address
• Phone number
• Address
• Dietary/Access/Language requirement
• Course/Event booked on
• Type of ticket purchased
• Price of ticket
• Payment details

We use a service called MailChimp which we may use to send our emails to you. MailChimp is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations; they will never email you or pass your details on to anyone else.

In the future, we may change the emailing service we use, if we do so we will ensure that it is a trusted service provider who is compliant with the GDPR.

We often use a facilitator from other organisations or individuals who are contracted to facilitate our training or events. We will pass your name, job title and employer to them in order run the course / event properly.  We will only do this if they sign a Data Protection Statement making sure that they treat your information in line with this policy and securely destroy the information after the course/event.

We will never sell or pass on any of your personal information to any other organisation or person.

We are required to hold the details of your booking in order to comply with financial audit regulations. We will only keep these for as long as is necessary and then they will be securely destroyed.

Learning Disability Wales has different distribution lists:

• Training & Events You will be on this list if you have asked us to send you information about Learning Disability Wales training courses and events.
• News & Information You will be on this list if you have asked us to send you information about Learning Disability Wales’s work and relevant news.
• Membership You will be on this list if you have signed up to become a member.  We will send you information about Learning Disability Wales’s work, consult with you on learning disability and / or autism issues and send you relevant learning disability and / or autism news.

When you sign up to one of our distribution lists we will keep any or all the following information you provide:

• Name

• Job Title (where relevant)
• Email address
• Phone number
• County
• Language choice

We will use this information to email you the information you have asked for (or occasionally telephone).

Sometimes we may send you information from other organisations we think may interest you. We don’t do this very often, and if you ever get fed up with our emails just ask us to stop.

Our Twitter and Facebook accounts are open for anyone to join, so anyone on Twitter or Facebook can see if you follow us and how you interact with us.

To protect who sees your information, you should visit the security settings on your Facebook and Twitter accounts to set who can see what you do.
