Working with parents with a learning disability

Date: 19.06.2025
Location: Online

Join us online on Thursday 19 June 2025 to find out more about the Welsh Government Guidance for social workers for families where the parent has a learning disability.

Many parents with a learning disability do a great job raising their families without needing extra help.

But for those who do need support, it is crucial to step in early and proactively rather than waiting for a crisis to happen.

In April 2023, Welsh Government published Guidance for social workers for families where the parent has a learning disability. This guidance emphasises the importance of early intervention and taking a proactive approach to ensure the best outcomes for these families.

Join us online on Thursday 19 June 2025 to find out more about the guidance.

We know your time is precious, so we have designed the agenda so that even if you can only join us for the first 30 minutes, you will still be able to take away ideas on how to develop your practice.
