Disability Wales – Easy Read Access to Politics Project

We worked with Disability Wales to create an Easy Read version of their Access to Politics Introduction.
This document explains the Access to Politics Project, which aims to help more Deaf and disabled people in Wales take part in politics. The project builds on previous work that supported Deaf and disabled people in standing for election and participating in political processes.
The project will provide support, training, and resources. It will create a network and develop a charter. It will also provide toolkits on how to get involved in politics, stand for election and speak up. To make sure Deaf and disabled people can take part.
This project helps disabled people gain the support and opportunities they need to take part in politics, to create a more inclusive and representative society.
We also made a Welsh Easy Read version of the strategy. Both versions are digitally accessible for screen readers and assistive technology.
