Improvement Cymru – Easy Read Checking the Once for Wales Health Profile

Improvement Cymru asked us to make an Easy Read version of a new report. In 2022, they asked the Unit for Development in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (UDIDD) at the University of South Wales to check how easy the Once for Wales Health Profile is to use.
The Health Profile helps people in Wales with a learning disability share important information with health workers.
The report shares feedback gathered from people with a learning disability, their families, and health workers. It explains what was found and suggests ways to improve the Health Profile.
The report highlights the need for more awareness, easier ways to update the profile, and better use by health workers to improve care and safety.
We also made a Welsh Easy Read version of the report. Both are digitally accessible for screen readers and other assistive technology.
