All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre – Easy Read Back-up antibiotic prescribing

The All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre asked us to make an Easy Read version of their booklet. The booklet provides information for patients about back-up antibiotic prescribing. It is designed to make important health information clear and accessible for everyone.
The booklet explains what back-up antibiotic prescribing is and when it should be used. It helps people understand that antibiotics only help with bacterial infections, not viruses like colds.
It covers when and how to take the antibiotic if needed and what to do if symptoms change. It includes advice on managing common cold and flu symptoms without using antibiotics.
The booklet helps patients make informed choices about their health and use antibiotics safely and effectively.
We also made a Welsh Easy Read version of the booklet. Both are digitally accessible for screen readers and other assistive technology.
