Engage to Change – Supported Internships – Easy Read
March 2024 | What we have learnt in Wales.
The Engage to Change team asked us to make an Easy Read version of their new report.
The Engage to Change project has worked across Wales to support young people aged 16 to 25 who have a learning difficulty, learning disability and/or autism to achieve their full potential.
It was an important 7-year project that supported young people to learn skills for work and move into paid jobs.
The report is about how well their supported internships worked. A supported internship is where young people learn through working. The work is unpaid, and they are supported by a job coach. The report includes what the Engage to Change team think needs to happen next with supported internships.
We also made a Welsh Easy Read version of the report. Both are digitally accessible for screen readers and other assistive technology.
Press the red download button to view an accessible PDF of the report.
