This is a free course.  It lasts 2  hours and takes place on-line. 10.00am – 12.00pm

Lock-down and social distancing can be hard, particularly for people who find it difficult to use things like WhatsApp, Zoom and Skype etc to communicate online.

Even before lockdown we knew that people with a learning disability were more socially isolated than others in society.  With the added problem of limited face to face contact it is now more important than ever to be able to support people keep in touch and talk to others.

This session will help you support people with a learning disability to get online and communicate online.

  • Ways to communicate online
  • Online safety
  • Supporting someone online

 

How the session will work

  1. When you register you will be sent instructions on how to join the online session.  Please check you have the right equipment, see below.
  2. Your tutor will lead you through the course, you will be shown information and examples on screen as well as being able to see you fellow delegates and trainer.
  3. You will be able to ask questions and discuss the methods with the tutor and fellow delegates.
